Profile: Davis Love-III is a veteran on the tour. He has been around for the last 20 years on the senior tour. Son of a famous golf instructor, Davis Love Jr, Love III used to play ice hockey as a kid. He took up golf seriously after joined university. He won many tournaments during that period and in 1985 became a professional. Barring a few years in between he has won one title every season. His best performance so far came in the 2003 season. In that year, he had won four titles, including the prestigious THE PLAYERS Championship.
He has also won one masters title; the 1997 PGA Championship. His career exploits over the years has seen him propel to the fourth spot in the US PGA Tour's all time money list. He has also maintained his ranking amongst the top 10 for a considerable amount of time. Presently, he is the 16 th best player in the world, according to the Official World Golf Rankings.
Love II also owns a golf course designing company, along with his brother and caddie mark Love. Together they have designed many golf courses around the world. He has also written a book titled ‘Every Shot I Take' which had won the 1997 United States Golf Association's International Book Award.
