In the Caddoan language, the meaning of "Texas" is "Friend". The landscape of the state ranges from the high rocky mountains to the white sand beaches. Texas is one of the prime tourist destinations of the United States of America. The state is well known for various activities like shopping, fooding, hiking, biking, camping, bird watching, riding, rodeoing, cruising and others. Events like San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and the "Mardi Gras" celebration are arranged in various part of Texas. Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Big Bend National Park, Rio Grande River, Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge, Galveston Island, Stewart Beach Park and Texas State Aquarium are some of the key attractions of Texas.
