Shadow Creek
The Shadow Creek Golf Club was previously a private club in Las Vegas, Nevada but now it is open for play to the public.
History of the course
The Shadow Creek Golf Club was designed by Tom Fazio and Andy Banfield and was opened for play in 1989. The beautiful mountains form a perfect backdrop for the course, which was carved out of the rugged Nevada desert. The design is very highly regarded amongst golfers. The fairways are lush and lined with trees. Two types of grasses are present here during the year. While golf is played on Bermuda grass in summer it is played on rye in winter. There are a large number of sand bunkers present on the ground which are scattered throughout the course. On quite a few number of holes, the water hazards come into play.
