Honors Course
The Honors Course at Ooltewah,Tennessee is a perfect example for promotion for golf.
History of the course
Jack Lupton was the man who had conceived the idea about building a golf course here. This 460-acre land at the foot of White oak Mountain, north of Chattanooga, is a secluded area. Pete Dye was employed to design the course and he did it with great finesse. He was helped thoroughly by the green keeper David Stone. He experimented with different varieties of grass and the effect of it was stunning. As you play your way through the Honors Course the various hues of beige, browns, rusts, tans and wheat planted by Stone come into view.
The holes are very demanding and require accurate shots. The greens vary in size in this links-styled course and water hazards come into play on five holes.
