El Saler
The El Saler Golf Course , located in Valencia, Spain, is considered as one of the top five courses in the country.
History of the course
The El Saler Golf Course was designed by Spain's most famous golf course architect, Javier Arana. The course gives you a links-type experience once you reach the last few holes of the course. The large sand dunes together with the ever present wind will make your round of golf more thrilling. The front holes are carved out from a pine forest. The fairways are quite wide but are full of rough. The rough here are made of soft sandy wasteland with a vegetation of mimiosa and myrtle bushes.
While designing the end holes, Arana kept the links courses of Scotland in mind. Here the fairways are narrow with the greens sloping a little. The bunkers are also placed at strategic positions.
