Double Eagle

The Double Eagle Golf Course in Galena, Ohio is an 18-hole course and measures 7,140 yards from the tips.

History of the course

The Double Eagle Club was formed in 1990s and the Double Eagle Golf Course was opened for play in 1992. The course was designed by Jay Morris and Tom Weiskopf and was built on 350 acres of land which was once a farmland and forest. The course is not only well maintained but also challenges you very much due to the different types of terrain. The fairways are very wide and the greens lightning quick.

• The Double Eagle Club is a private club. Here play is restricted to the members but if you get an invitation from a member you can enjoy your golf here.

Though the Double Eagle Golf Course is a relatively new one it still ranks amongst the top 100 golf courses in the US. According to Golf Digest magazine's list of top 100 golf courses in the US in 2005 it is the 68 th best course.
