Royal Golf Club de Belgique-Ravenstein -Belgium
The Royal Golf Club de Belgique / Ravenstein is located amongst the woodlands of the Chateau de Ravenstein, in the town of Tervuren , near Brussels , of the Brabant region in Belgium .
The prestigious Royal Golf Club de Belgique was established in 1906, currently offering 27-holes of excellent golf through its spectacular 18-hole Old Course and its superb 9-hole New Course. The courses are subtly crafted amidst the magnificent forest in the woodland region consisting of various tree species, on a gently undulating terrain winding through the native underbush.
The 18-hole- 6033 metres, par 72 Course was designed in 1905 by renowned architect Seymour Dunn, with modifications made to it in 1928 by famous English golf architect, Tom Simpson. Once again, in 1990, the course underwent an upgrading program, undertaken by architect Martin Hawtree, to make it an even more challenging course.
The additional 9-hole- 3,819 metres, par 32 course was designed by architect, Philip Mackenzie Ross, in 1951.
The 18-holes of the Royal Golf Club de Belgique/ Ravenstein course is a classic wooded parkland style layout. The well-conditioned course winds its ways through the trees and foliage; the well-protected greens, rolling fairways lined by stands of trees, crafty bunkering, native shrubs, as well as the vegetation, make this course a delightful challenge for all standards of golfers.
The grand historic Clubhouse of the Royal Golf Club de Belgique, crafted out from the Château de Ravenstein has had undergone many changes of ownership since 1460. It was eventually purchased by King Leopold II from the Belgian state, and donated it to transform it into the present Clubhouse, from its last owner, the Prince of Orange in 1826.
The beautiful clubhouse offers various services including restaurant, bar, and also fabulous views of the fabulous course and tranquil woodland forests.

- The Royal Golf Club de Belgique / Ravenstein is set amidst a wonderful natural forest, filled with various species of rare trees, planted from the nearby botanical garden, and includes rhododendrons that bloom wonderfully towards June.
- In 1996, King Albert II became the Club President of the Royal Golf Club de Belgique.
- The Royal Golf Club of Belgium that houses the clubhouse of the Château of Ravenstein, was named after its first owner Philippe de Cleves, the Squire of Ravenstein.
