I Roveri Golf & Sports Club - Italy
The I Roveri Golf & Sports Club is a fabulous parkland course and ranks amongst Italy's finest golf courses.
History of the Course:
The I Roveri Golf & Sports Club is situated amidst the picturesque La Mandaria park, in the Fiano region near Turin, Piemonte, Italy. The beautiful club consists of 27-holes, subtly crafted through the dense wooded parkland surroundings of mature oak and birches, with the mountains forming a scenic backdrop.
The I Roveri Golf & Sports Club was formed in 1971. It consists of a magnificent 18-hole course, a 9-hole course, and 3 Executive holes both of which are classical parkland style layouts.
The 18-hole course of the I Roveri Golf & Sports Club was designed and created by world renowned golfer and architect, Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1971.
The 6,218 metres, par 72 course winds its way through the woodland area on a slightly undulating terrain. The layout consists of well-manicured quick rolling greens; wide fairways lined with ancient trees; Trent Jones typical bold bunkering; water obstacles in the form of lakes and streams, and the natural vegetation and shrubs sprouting from the undulating landscape- thus offering a formidable and tactical golfing challenge to all standards of golfers.
The par 36, 9-hole course of the I Roveri Golf & Sports Club along with the par 10, 3 executive holes, makes up for a round of practice golf, or for amateur golfers. Overall, the courses are accredited to make Italy's I Roveri Golf & Sports Club amongst Continental Europe's finest.
The Clubhouse of the I Roveri Golf & Sports Club offers various services including restaurant, bar, billiards, sauna, and golf practice zones with driving range and putting greens, along with great views of the scenic course.
