The Les Bordes Golf Club is a magnificent golf course set in the picturesque woodlands of Loire Valley and is also one of the topmost golf courses of France.

History of the Course:

The Les Bordes Golf Club is situated amidst the dense forests of Sologne, in the tranquil Loire Valley of Saint Laurent Nouan region, France.

The Les Bordes Golf Club was the brainchild of two partners, an industrialist, Baron Marcel Bich and Japanese businessman, Mr. Yoshiaki Sakurai.

The masterpiece course was opened in 1987, and was designed by renowned American golf architect, Robert von Hagge.

The 7,062 yards, par 72 world class course of the Les Bordes Golf Club is subtly crafted amidst the natural beauty of the woodlands and lakes of the serene Sologne forest.

The beautifully crafted course consists of well conditioned sloping contoured greens, vast undulating tree-lined fairways, bordered by wide bunkers and water hazards on 12 of the course's 18 holes. With excellent putting greens and five different sets of tee areas, the course provides a wonderful yet challenging golfing experience.

The exquisite Clubhouse of the Les Bordes Golf Club, with its informal atmosphere, offers various services including dining, lounge bar and conference rooms. One can relax in the evenings at its verandahs, sipping on a glass of famed French wine and admiring the breathtaking views of the vineyards and forest settings of the beautiful Loire Valley, with the chateaus in the distant.

• The Les Bordes Club is a magnificent and well acclaimed course, being acknowledged by winning the Golf Journal's, 2001 Travel Oscar for “Best European Golf Course” and also rated as France's highest ranked course by the Peugeot Golf Guide 2006/2007.
• The Les Bordes Club co-founder, industrialist Baron Marcel Bich, is also the founder of the world famous, pen and stationery producing giant, “ BIC Pens ”.
• The Les Bordes course record is held by Frenchman, Jean Van de Velde, with a score of par 71.
