The Chantilly Golf Club
The Chantilly Golf Club is a spectacular golf club of the famed Chantilly region of France.
History of the Course:
The Chantilly Golf Club is situated in the famous golfing circuit of the Chantilly region of Ile de France. The Club consists of two beautiful, 18 hole courses, namely its Vineuil Course and the Longeres Course.
The Vineuil Course of the Chantilly Golf Club was designed by renowned British architect Tom Simpson and was opened in 1908. The club, over the years, under the guidance of its president, Baron Edouard de Rothschild, saw it being restored into a wonderful golfing venue, by golf technician and member, M. Balézeaux.
The 6396 metres, Par 71, Chantilly Vineuil Golf Course consists of a magnificently crafted parkland style course. Created amidst the natural bushlands settings, has well trimmed greens, classic neat rolling fairways and tricky bunkers. The masterpiece course was upgraded from 18 to 36 holes over the years, still retaining the traditional and original theme of Simpson.
The Vineuil Course of the Chantilly Golf Club also consists of a grand Clubhouse that possesses its rich heritage and warmth of France's Chantilly area.
The second course of the Chantilly Golf club is its Longères Course. Designed by architect Donald Steel in 1991, the sister course of the Vinueuil, is an excellent yet challenging one.
The 6972 metres, Par 73 , Longeres Course, crafted out of forestland, is also competitive with its flat layout consisting of tough bunker positions making the greens almost inaccessible. The fairways here are narrow with slicker greens, providing ample challenge. Yet, it forms an easier course to play on than the Vineuil.
The picturesque natural surroundings of both the courses offer tranquility and peace combining it into a wonderful golfing experience.
