History of the Course:
The Bremen Zur Vahr Golf Club is located in the scenic woodland region of Garlstedt, near Bremen, in Lower Saxony Region of Germany.
The Zur vahr Golf Club was established years ago in 1905, now consisting of 27-holes of outstanding golf here in Bremen. With an18-hole course in Garlstedt near Bremen, and a 9-hole course at Vahr, both courses of the Zur Vahr Golf Club are unique and have their own individual distinct charm. The courses are subtly crafted amidst the picturesque woodlands and lakes region, with natural pine and oak forests settings, offering a variety through its scenic holes.
The Bremen Zur Vahr Golf Course had undergone renovation and returfing of its greens recently in 2004. It was then again inaugurated as the “Garlstedter Heide” course of the Zur Vahr Golf Club.
The present par 72, 6,435 metres Bremen golf course of the Zur vahr Golf Club has a well-conditioned terrain consisting of subtle greens, fairways bounded by stands of ancient pine trees, numerous sand bunkers, and ample water hazards with roughs and native woodland vegetation sprouting on the open areas of the course.
Overall, the Bremen Zur Vahr Golf Club offers a formidable challenge, and along with its tranquil forest surrounds offers a charming golf experience, thus making the Garlstedt course (Bremen Course), along with the Vahr Course, one of the finest courses in Germany and amongst Continental Europe’s leading courses.
The Clubhouse of the Zur Vahr Golf Club offers various services including bar and restaurant, swimming pool, as well as fabulous views from its terrace over the wooded parklands area and of its beautiful course.

- The Zur Vahr Golf Club is a reputed and prestigious sporting institution of Germany. Since 1905, the club was involved in numerous sporting activities like skeet shooting, track and field athletics, rugby, cricket, polo, golf, hockey, and tennis, but after the World War, the club limited itself only to golf, hockey, tennis, and skeet shooting, remaining a reputed venue in Bremen, even today.
