History of the Course:
The Terrey Hills Golf Club is located in Sydney and is one of its first courses to be designed with advanced computer modeling, making it an interesting challenge as well as an appealing visual delight.
The Terrey Hills Golf Club was designed by famous golf architects, Graham Marsh and Ross Watson in 1994.
The 6437 metres, par 72 championship golf course of Terrey Hills consists of a beautifully designed course crafted amidst rugged natural vegetation. Its layout consists of wide of vast undulating, contoured tree-lined fairways dotted with innumerable sand bunkers; the subtle slopes and mounds on the course are a result of the natural terrain along with the various man-made water traps, designed to cause some level of difficulty and challenge to golfers.
The greens on the Terrey Hills Golf Course are well maintained and consist of different varieties of grass; while the fairways are of the wintergreen couch strain, the greens are of broadbent variety with native grasses used in between the stretches. The fairways are lined with natural forests and native shrubs and flora border the greens. The course greens, besides providing an excellent putting surface, multiple pin placements and testing rounds of golf, it also creates a unique colorful display of natural beauty infused with technological splendor!
The Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club also has a magnificent clubhouse which has modern facilities and offers various services; blended with classic Australian elegance, the ambience also includes its own rich tradition, making it one of Sydney's elite courses.
