History of the Course:
The Paradise Palms Golf Course is situated in Queensland's Clifton Beach, near Cairns. Located at the base of the McAlister Mountain Range in the tropical rainforest of North Queensland, the course provides golfers with beautiful panoramic views and an enjoyable golfing experience.
The Paradise Palms Golf Course was designed by famous golf architects Graham Marsh and Ross Watson in 1990; they created an amazing championship golf course from amidst a vast expanse of sugarcane fields.
The 6464 metres, par 72 Championship golf course of the Paradise Palms is a beautifully designed course with a layout that consists of well groomed, rolling fairways lined with trees, vast undulating greens, 94 well sited bunkers and six lakes that form the water hazards; all these features combine to provide a formidable challenge for all golf enthusiasts!
The 18 hole Championship layout of the Paradise Palms has excellent lush green grasses due to its tropical weather; while the natural creeks wind their way through the course along with the gentle undulating slopes created by the tropical terrain, and with the mountain slope and crystal blue Coral Sea forming a backdrop for the course- a unique golfing destination is born here!
The course contains four different tee spots; while each hole has its own distinct character that offers its challenge to golfers, the Paradise Palms itself is a very demanding yet a rewarding course in its own unique way.
The Paradise Palms has a grand Clubhouse that offers various services and facilities including dining, conferences, weddings or simply a place to relax while enjoying the scenic views of the tropical landscape or the golf course.
