Hyatt Regency Coolum QLD
The Hyatt Regency Coolum in Queensland is a resort golf course located on the picturesque Sunshine Coast of Australia.
History of the Course:
The Hyatt Regency Coolum belongs to the world famous Hyatt Chain of Hotels. Situated at the base of Mount Coolum on the Sunshine Coast, the Hyatt Regency resort hotel opens out onto the magnificent beauty of the vast blue Pacific Ocean.
The Hyatt Regency Coolum offers golfing to guests as part of their leisure activities and recreation.
The Hyatt Regency Coolum Golf Course was designed by golfing legend and famed architect, Robert Trent Jones Jr. in 1988.
Although designed by Robert Trent Jones, the Hyatt Regency Coolum Golf Course is unlike the others he created. It may not have the vast rolling fairways or his trademark three-tiered greens, but it is a championship course indeed, designed by him to simply challenge the golfing abilities of players.
The 6263 metre, par 72, Hyatt Regency Coolum Golf Course layout consists of neatly trimmed fairways, well positioned bunkers with smooth and fast greens, and are all bordered by natural bushland, topical rainforests and the Hyatt's private beach. The course itself forms a fine challenge with the enjoyable coastal weather complementing the entire golf feeling.
