Hope Island
History of the Course:
The Hope Island Golf Resort is an 18 hole traditional "links" style championship course and was designed by the popular team of Thomson, Wolveridge and Perrett in early1993.
The 6,457 metres, par 72 championship layout of the Hope Island Golf course consists of two distinct separate sets of nine holes, designed in an authentic links-style fashion and created amidst wetlands. With undulating fairways speckled with 128 "pot-shaped" bunkers, well mowed sloping greens surrounded by low areas of marshland and water traps, the Hope Island golf course proves to be an intense challenge as well as provides a distinct links style golf ambience.
The grand Venetian style clubhouse of the Hope Island Resort provides various services and facilities including locker rooms, dining or even relaxation after a tiring day of golf, complete with its informal yet efficient environment.
