Camden Lakeside
History of the Course:
The Camden Lakeside Golf Club is one of the latest championship golf courses in Sydney and was designed in true links style reminiscent of the original Scottish Links courses.
The Camden Lakeside Golf Course was designed by the team of renowned golf architects Thomson, Wolveridge & Perrett in 1993.
The 6400 metres, par 72 Camden Lakeside Golf Course layout consists of generally flat putting surfaces with well-manicured vast rolling fairways, distinct “pot shaped” bunkers, slick sturdy greens, hollows and mounds, along with the unpredictable course winds; overall, they provide a formidable golfing challenge along with an exquisite links experience.
The Camden Lakeside links style course also features three tee positions to suit different levels of golfers along with six tiger tees for the brave.
Although the Camden Course is relatively new and created with modern technology, its designers preserved all the natural features of the course including its hollows, slopes, treelines, native shrubs as well as its lakes, all amalgamated into the beautiful landscape of the course, providing golfers with a unique links heritage.
The Clubhouse of the Camden Lakeside is an Australian colonial architecture building complete with grandeur and elegance and provides various services and facilities to members including restaurants, its Grill Room or simply a wonderful view of the scenic course against the backdrop of the countryside- a relaxing hangout for tired golfers!
