Brands of Golf Equipments
The growing number of companies indulging in golf equipment manufacturing has enabled golfers to choose from a wide range of brands of golf equipments. In the early days of golf, all the golf equipments were made from wood. With the advancement of technology, the golf equipments have also undergone much change. Durable and cheap devices have replaced the old heavyweight ones. In 1800s, hickory wood was introduced as the material for golf clubs. The use of persimmon wood became popular in the beginning of the twentieth century. During this period, steel and other metals appeared as the materials of various parts of golf clubs. The golf balls were being made from Surlyn, a synthetic resin with a core of rubber. At present, light metals like aluminium, graphite, boran and titanium are mostly used fro making the golf clubs and the core of golf balls.
