Gibraltar Hospital has St Bernard Hospital as the only hospital in Gibraltar which offers its services to the patients who are in need of the same. There are a total of two hundred and ten beds in the
Gibraltar Hospital, by the name of St Bernard Hospital in Gibraltar has a number of wards which are at the service of the patients. Some of these wards include an ortho trauma ward, maternity ward, surgical ward, medical ward and the paediatric ward.
The St Bernad Gibraltar Hospital is equipped with the following facilities:
- Two main operating theaters as well as an emergency operation theater which acts as a back up in times of need
- A hydrotherapy pool with a full rehabilitation clinic
- A day surgery unit
- A cardiac rehabilitation center
- An accident and an emergency department which has the provision for any kind of major as well as minor incident
- An ophthalmic clinic
There is also a modern mortuary which provides modern and improved viewing as well as waiting facilities. There is a chapel adjacent to the waiting room. The School of Health Studies has relocated itself from the Bleak House to a peaceful region inside the 3rd Block of this Gibraltar Hospital. The office of the administrative staff and the Chief Executive is to move from the Johnstone's Passage towards the 1st Block.
