The specialty of Germany Castles is that each of them is different in structure from the others. One will come across a large number of castles from the fortresses of Alps to the river of Rhine. King Ludwig II built some of the well known castles in Germany.

Linderhof Castle: Built by Ludwig, this castle exhibits French style of architecture. The castle is surrounded by numerous statues and fountains. There are big crystal chandeliers inside the castle. The ‘magic table’ is a must see thing of the castle.
Wartburg Castle: This is one of the oldest Germany Castles and can be witnessed in the Eisenach town. The castle was founded in AD 1067. This castle has an important connection with the Protestant Reformation as Martin Luther was imprisoned in this castle for leading the movement. The castle has been put in the World Heritage List in 1999.
Neuschwanstein Castle: Situated on Alps, it is a very famous Germany Castles. History tells that about 14 carpenters took four and half years just to finish up the wooden work of the bedroom of King Ludwig. There are a large number of tapestries inside the castle that depicts scenes from Richard Wagner operas.
