Students Visa to Germany

Student Visa Germany is issued to students expressing a desire or need to study in Germany. Germany offers a range of courses for higher studies and also enough research opportunities which has increased the demand for student Visa to Germany. There are three kinds of student Visas:

The student applicant Visa or the Studienbewerber-Visum.: This is to be acquired by those who want to enter Germany before their admission to a course or a University has been confirmed. This students Visa to Germany is particularly important for those seeking admission in Colleges like Hochschule fur musik and Theatre (College of music and Drama) where there is an on the spot entrance examination. So with the help of the student applicant Visa students are permitted to enter Germany even before they are admitted anywhere. The student applicant Visa has a validity of three months but if one gets admitted in an institution in the mean time then the same applicant Visa can be converted into a students Visa.

• Students Visa: This Visa is only provided to those who can produce a certificate of admission or a letter from the institution accepting his application.
• Visa for Language courses : This Visa is given to those who want to participate in a language course in Germany.

It is advisable to submit the application form in person along with all the required documents. This is then forwarded to the Auslanderamt or the Aliens office. On the completion of the procedures and approval of the Aliens office the application is forwarded to the Consulate. The Consulate then sanctions the residence permit. It is mandatory for all the residence permit holders to register on their first arrival to Germany. It is only then that the final residence permit for the study period is granted to them.
