Frankfurt am Main Places of Worship
Church of Christ the King (Sebastian-Rinz-Strasse 22, 60323 Frankfurt. Ph: (69) 55 01 84): This church offers traditional as well as relaxed service with music and choir. The Book of Common Prayer and Hymnal of the American Episcopal Church are used for the services. This Episcopal Church is a member of the Convocation of the American Episcopal Churches in Europe and global Anglican Communion. The Church conducts special service for children and also holds regular Sunday School.
Bahai-Zentrum Frankfurt am Main (Bernadottestrasse 104, 60439 Frankfurt am Main. Ph: 69 578332): The city has a beautiful house of devotion for the Bahai community. Frankfurt houses the first and only Bahai house of devotion of Europe. Every Sunday, people gather together in the house of devotion and read the writings of all high religions.
Bethel International Baptist Church (BIBC) (Am Dachsberg 92, 60435 Frankfurt am Main. Ph: 49 69 540 320): The church is meant for all English speaking people and is a member of European Baptist Convention. BIBC was organized in 1958 to meet the needs of U.S military servicemen and women. It later transitioned into an international church with more than the representation of 20 different nationalities in the congregation. The work fellowship is held in the first Saturday of every month. This Christian church holds service every Sunday morning.
New Apostolic Church Bornheim / Nordend (Luisenstrasse 3, 60316 Frankfurt): The church consists of 12 congregations distributed throughout the city. Around 2150 members receive pastoral care in the congregations. Though the cradle of New Apostolic Church lies in Europe, only a 5% of New Apostolic Christians live in the continent. This international Christian Church was developed from the Catholic Apostolic Church in 1863 and is led by the apostles. It recognizes three sacraments such as Holy Baptism, Holy Sealing and Holy Communion. The Church is involved in charity activities and also extends help directly to the needs of the individuals.
Philadelphia Gemeinde International (Am Industriehof 7-9, 60487 Frankfurt am Main
Ph: 69 464751): Founded in 1993, the church evangelizes people belonging to all different countries in the Rhein-Main-area. They do this to convince the people by the Holy Spirit and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The church educate those who are saved through mentorship, Bible study circle, home groups, prayer meetings, seminars, and discipleship (MISTI), healing and the prophetic training. After the training they are assigned with various responsibilities or will be send out in order to build new centers for the evangelization of the lost.
St. Leonhard's International English-Speaking Catholic Parish (Alte Mainzer Gasse 8, 60311 Frankfurt am Main Ph: 69-283 177): This Roman Catholic Church is one of the oldest Churches located in the city. The Church offers a relief from the busy city life and invites people from in and around Frankfurt for worship, prayers and social events. The Parish was established in 1995 and comes under the Diocese of Limburg. This young and dynamic Church gives an opportunity for the people to utilize their time and talents to serve the parish. The church conducts mass on Saturday and Sunday at 5pm and 9.30am respectively.
St. Mary’s Parish (Elsheimerstraße 9, 60322 Frankfurt am Main Ph: 6195 976670): The Parish serves the English speaking Catholics in and around Frankfurt am Main. The Church celebrates Holy Mass on every Sunday at 11.30am. It conducts Religious Education classes for children at Frankfurt International School on every Thursdays. The Church also offers first communion and confirmation classes.
Trinity Lutheran Church (Nibelungenallee 54, 60318 Frankfurt Ph: 069-95 63 10 66): This independent international organization is a worship home for the people in Frankfurt and Rhine Main region. The church, which was officially charted in 1970, has around 200 members including expatriates, military communities and local nationals. This self-supporting congregation is affiliated to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LC-MS) and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), the two largest American Lutheran Church bodies. Lutheran Worship and Lutheran Book of Worship are used as hymnals. There is a church choir that sings during the service. Every first Sunday, people reach the church for thanksgiving accompanied by music and song. Besides this, it conducts Sunday School, Adult Bible Class and Youth Forum.
