Frankfurt International School (FIS) (An der Waldlust 15, 61440 Oberursel, Germany Ph: 6171-2024-0): Established in 1961, by parents, the school has now grown to a complex of modern buildings with all modern facilities. Spread in 42,000 sq. meters of wooded grounds, Frankfurt International School helps non-English speakers to learn the language. The school is organized into primary and elementary divisions and the Upper School in Oberursel and the International School Wiesbaden (ISW), which operates as its branch at a separate campus in Wiesbaden. The school imparts education to around 1724 students in first to 12th grade. Students from about 55 countries, which include 29% American, 24% German, 14% Korean, 8% British, 5% Japanese study here. Its faculty team constituting 296 faculty and staff from 28 countries impart standard education to the students. The school is a registered examination center for the International Baccalaureate (IB), the American College Board Entrance Examinations (SAT). Accredited by Council of International Schools (UK) and the New England Association of Schools & Colleges, the school is a member school of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Though English is the medium of instruction, German courses at various levels are available in all grades. Frankfurt International School also offers extra curricular activities such as sports for both boys and girls. It trains the students in Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Track & Field, Baseball, Softball, Cross Country and Volleyball. The school also gives equal importance to art and music.
International School Frankfurt (ISF) (Strasse zur Internationalen Schule 33, 65931 Frankfurt. Ph: 69/348297-0): It is a full time private school giving world-class education from kindergarten to 13th grade. English is the main medium of instruction. Its gives its students education on the core subjects like English, mathematics, German and the sciences. The school founded by the city of Frankfurt provides all modern facilities to its students such as a theatre, indoor, semi-Olympic sized swimming pool and tennis courts. In addition to this, it also offers music, art and academic facilities. The school conducts various courses such as ISF High School Diploma, US Advanced Placement Exams and International Baccalaureate for Grade 12 students and British AS/A-Level Exams for Grade 13 students that serve as a route to reach university. Japanese International School Frankfurt am Main (Langweidenstrasse 8 12, 60488 Frankfurt am Main. Ph: 069 780981): The school began with the goal of giving Japanese language education to students in and around Frankfurt and also to students from other nationalities. It is one of the Japanese government recognized schools abroad. Besides this, in 1969 a Saturday School began with the intention of providing instruction in Japanese.
