Abbey Church of Saint-Savin sur Gartempe contains beautiful 11th and 12th-century murals. Amiens Cathedral is located in the heart of Picardy. This world heritage site is one of the largest 'classic' Gothic churches of the 13th century. The Cathedral of St Etienne of Bourges is another world heritage site. It was built between the late 12th and late 13th centuries. It is one of the greatest masterpieces of Gothic Art. This Cathedral confirms the power of Christianity in medieval France.
The natural sites that are included in the World Heritage List are Gulf of Porto: Calanche of Piana, Gulf of Girolata and Scandola Reserve. The natue reserve is a part of the Regional National Park of Corsica. Here the vegetation is that of a scrubland. The animals found here include Seagulls, cormorants andsea eagles.
Pyrenees - Mont Perdu is also a World Heritag Site. The mountain is centers around the peak of Mount Perdu.
