Formula One Teams - Toro Rosso

Toro Rosso is one of the two Formula One teams which are owned by the popular Austrian drinks company Red Bull. Former Formula One driver Gerhard Berger also has half partnership of this popular Formula One team. The full name of the team is Scuderia Toro Rosso.

It was established in late 2005 when the Red Bull purchased the Minardi team. It is based in the old Italian town of Faenza. The 2006 Bahrain Grand Prix marked the debut of the team in the Formula One World Championship. The team has participated in a total of 25 races and is yet to make a mark in the Formula One circuit.

The Scuderia Toro Rosso is led by Franz Tost as the team principal. He is accompanied in his task of controlling the team by Giorfio Ascanelli who is the technical director of the team. The team does not have any test driver. However, it maintains two famous Formula One drivers as their race drivers- Italian driver Vitantonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed, a popular Formula One driver from the United States of America.
