Force India

Force India formula one team was set up after Vijay Mallya and Michiel Mol bought the Spyker FI team in October 2007. The acceptance of the new name to the older team reflects on the continual participation of the Indians in the Formula One series.

Force India was a Silverstone based squad that was set up during the Jordon Grand Prix in 1991. The Midland Group took over the team in 2005 after which it was renamed Midland F1. Spyker cars bought the team at the end of 2006 season. The consortium created by Vijay Mallya and Michiel Mol bought the team who will appear as Force India Team in the 2008 season of Formula One. The team will make its maiden appearance in the 2008 Formula One series.

Its Appearance

Force India team has been given a new logo with the motif of the Indian National flag. This sets the flavor for the country's involvement as it gears to host the 2010 Formula One Grand Prix.
