- 2002-Occupied the 3rd position in Formula Renault series.
- 2003-Acquired the Formula Renault title with 11 pole positions, 10 race victories and 9 fastest laps.
- 2004-Selected for Formula Three Euroseries.
- 2005-Won 10 fastest laps, 15 wins and 13 pole positions in the Formula Three Euro series.
- 2006-Won GP2 championship and qualified for the his First Formula One test as a McLaren driver.
- 2007-Scored podiums in about 9 races. He outperformed Fernando Alonso by securing 6 poles and 4 wins. He lost to Kimi Raikkonen and secured a 2nd position.
In December 2007, Heikki and Hamilton were declared to represent the McLaren team in 2008 Formula One.
