Christijan Albers, one of the youngest Formula One racers, had been with the Spyker team since 2005. He started his career with kart racing in 1997 and is now one of the present Formula One racers.
Christijan Albers, one of the current Formula One racers, was born at Eindhoven on the 16th of April in the year of 1979. After being a champion in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters he participated in the Formula One.
Christijan's career in racing began as a kart racer. In 1997 he had won the Dutch National Championship. He had also become the Formula Ford 1800 Champion in Belgium as well a Netherlands in the same year. Apart from these, he took part in the Renault Megane Marlboro Masters series.
In the following year he joined the Formula Three in Germany and won the same in 1999. In this race he achieved 10 poles and 6 wins. In the year of 2000, with Mark Webber as a teammate, Albers had taken part in the Formula 3000 international championship. He was also a racer in the European Formula Racing.
From 2001 to 2004, Christijan Albers had participated in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. Initially he had joined a privately run team, but his performance made him grow and join the AMG by 2003. In the 2003 race, he was the runner up along with 4 wins of the season. In the following season he came third in the race.
Right from the beginning of his career, Christijan Albers was interested in joining the Formula One. Being a real fast driver, he could score the best time record at a test session of Misano di Gera d'Adda Minardi. Thus, finally he got the chance to participate in the Formula One in the year of the 2005 at the Australian Grand Prix. In the same year he had also competed in the United States Grand Prix, where he acquired the fifth position.
In the same Albers was acknowledged as the official driver of Midland for the Formula One races. He had a great start in the next season of Formula One in the year of 2006, but he faced a major accident in San Marino Grand Prix of that year. In 2007, Albers drove for the Spyker Formula One team. However, due to some problems the contract between the two was not continued.
Albers again went back to Spyker to perform at the Rotterdam Street Racing held on the 18th and 19th of August in 2007 in Holland. In the same year, he had also competed in the Spa Grand Prix as well as the Monza Grand Prix. In future he would definitely look for joining other teams, as he wishes to continue with the Formula One racing.
