Belgium is a noted country in the arena of Formula One World Championship. The Circuit de Francorchamps is a well-known circuit for Formula One Championships in Belgium as well as for the Spa 24 Hours endurance race. This track holds

the record of continuous motor racing in the world. This track is greatly fast, has deadly curves and bends and also the location is exotically appealing.

The Circuit de Francorchamps is considered to be the world's most deadly and famous track in the Eau Rouge Complex. The total circuit length is 6.9 kilometers and has 21 runs. The record of the fastest lap goes to Raikonnen for McLaren Mercedes team in 2004. The Circuit de Francorchamps for the first time hosted the Formula One Championship in 1928. In 2007 this circuit will be hosting the Formula One World Championship on 16th September.

At present, the highest speed acquired in Belgium can be measured to 330km per hour. This circuit tests both the skill and accuracy of the participants and hence this has become the one of the favorites Formula One Racing circuits in the world.

Some eminent Formula One World Champions who won more than once in this circuit of great repute are Juan Manuel Fangio, Damon Hill, Jim Clark, Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.
