Rules and Regulations of the Formula One motor car racing bind the sport within a single periphery. These rules are laid down by the governing body of the sport at the international level, the FIA or Federation Internationale de l'Automobile. Formula One is one of the most favorite motor racing sports in the world.

It is also known as F1 or Grand Prix. There were as many as 11 teams performing in the Formula One circuit in the year 2007. Some of the famous racing car manufacturing companies are Ferrari, Renault, McLaren Mercedes, Honda and others. They have emerged as champions in a number of Formula One championships. Emerson Fittipaldi, Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso and others are a few famous drivers in the Formula One circuit.

The Federation Internationale de l'Automobile looks after the Formula One racing events from the grass root to the international levels. It was formed in 1904 and is located in Paris in France. It has a number of countries under it as the member of the federation. The Federation Internationale de l'Automobile also organizes several competitions of Formula One at different levels.

The FIA or the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile controls and binds several aspects of the sports.
