Valencia, one of the Formula One venues, is located in Spain. It attracts a great number of tourists all round the year with special emphasis during the Formula One season.

One of the largest cities in Spain, Valencia is an important industrial center of the country. Lying in the Costa del Azahar area, it serves as the capital of Valencia province. According to the census of 2007, the population of Valencia in Spain is more than eight lacs. With a pleasant Mediterranean climate, the city attracts a great number of tourists through out the year.

The city of Valencia of Spain was earlier known as Valentia, which means vigor and strength in Latin. Valencia boasts of great architectural beauty, which were constructed during the Arabic and Roman times. The Cathedral built in the Gothic style between the 13th to 15th centuries is one of the most important attractions of the city. The architecture of the city also represents Romanesque and Baroque styles as well.

The Central Market of Valencia known as Mercado Central is one of the biggest markets in the whole of Europe. Another important attraction of the city is the Late Gothic Silk Exchange, which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Valencia also has buildings with modern architecture and one can find broad streets and wide pavements in the city also.

Valencia, being one of the Formula One Venues, is filled with tourists from all over the world during the Formula One season every year. The city has a brilliant racetrack, which is loved by the Formula One drivers.
