Spa Francorchamps, one of the Formula One Venues, is also known as Spa. It is located in Belgium. It also hosts the Spa 24 hours stamina race. The 25 hours of Spa organized by the Uniroyal Fun Cup is also held here. Spa has one of the best racetracks in the world. Spa, which is also called the water city of Belgium, is situated at the intersection of North and East.
Spa Francorchamps is mainly famous for hosting the Formula One Belgian grand Prix. Built in the year of 1921, the racetrack stretches for about 13 kilometers. The twists and turns in this triangular racetrack have been exciting and fascinating for all the racers. This fabulous track was reconstructed in the year of 1983.
After renovating the track, its length was reduced to half, but still it remains as attractive as was before to the racers. The track has the longest lap in Formula One. The track is situated amidst the natural beauty of the hills and woods. The city has an unpredictable climate all round the year.
Henri Langlois Van Ophem and Jules de Their had designed the racetrack of Spa. Using general public roads the initial track was made. Over the years the track has been renovated several times, which decreased the length but the pattern was kept the same. There are immensely fearsome parts in the track. However, presently the most recognized part in the track is the Eau Rouge.
