One of the oldest motor-sport championships, Grand Prix of Europe or European Grand Prix is considered as one of the most sought after races in Formula One. The Grand Prix of Europe 2008, to be held in Valencia will once again repeat the rich history.
Grand Prix of Europe 2008 is the 12th race of the current Formula One season. Also known as the European Grand Prix, the venue of the race is Valencia, Spain. The Grand Prix of Europe was recognized as valid race under Formula One Schedule in 1983. Earlier it was considered as an honorary title.
The Site
Grand Prix of Europe 2008 is going to be staged in Valencia at the Valencia Street Circuit. Covering a length of 5.476 Kilometers, the track consists of 56 laps and an actual race length of 306.48 Kilometers. The newly built circuit is equipped with stands that can accommodate 90,000 spectators at a time.
Previous Years
The Grand Prix of Europe witnessed a gap of 6 years from 1986 to 1992 but revived again in 1993 to emerge one of the significant Formula One races. However, it was not held in 1998. A record of the winners of Grand Prix of Europe, since 1983, is given below:

Europe Grand Prix 2008 Schedule
Grand Prix of Europe, 2008 has been dated from 22nd of August to 24th August. Similar to other Grand Prix races, the first day will see two practice sessions - 10.00 A.M.to 11.30 A.M and 2.00 P.M to 3.30 P.M. On the second day - Saturday, 23rd, another practice session from 11.00 A.M. has been scheduled that will end at 12.00P.M. From sharp 2.00, the qualifying race starts. The last day – Sunday, 24th will see the final race, which commences at 2.00 P.M.
