Filipe Massa won a sweeping victory at the Turkish Grand Prix, held on 11 May, 2008. The Latin American Ferrari driver triumphed over Lewis Hamilton, McLaren-Mercedes driver, who finished in the second position. His Ferrari team mate, Kimi Raikkonen finished in the third position. Massa won ten points for his victory while Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen were awarded 8 and 6 points respectively.
Filipe Massa stands in the second position in the Drivers' standing with 28 points while his team mate, Raikkonen leads with 35 points. Ferrari heads the Constructors Standings with 63 points.
Grand Prix de Monaco 22-25 May, 2008
Lewis Hamilton of the McLaren-Mercedes team won the Monaco Grand Prix that was held on 25 May, 2008. He completed the required 76 laps in 2 hours and 42.742 seconds. Robert Kubica came second representing BMW Sauber. Brazilian Felipe Massa, showing flashes of his formidable form of the season, finished third for Ferrari.
Grand Prix du Canada 6-8 June, 2008
The Canadian Grand Prix was held on 8th June, 2008. Robert Kubica recorded his maiden win of the season when he won this race. He became the first Polish citizen to win a F1 Grand Prix. Kubica's BMW Sauber team mate Nick Heidfield finished second. The performances of these two drivers now leave BMW Sauber at 70 points on the team list, only three points behind list topper Ferrari. British David Coultherd of Red Bull secured the third position.
Both Lewis Hamilton of McLaren and Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari faced early exits following a bizarre crash early in the race.
