Mali Flag

The national flag of Mali has three different colors in it that are arranged in a vertical order. These three colors are green, golden and red respectively from the hoisting side of the Mali flag .

The colors are Pan-African colors representing the African unity.The ratio of the flag 's width to its length is 2:3.

Originally the flag had a human stick figure 'kanaga' drawn on the golden color but this has been removed according to the Islamic faith.

The Mali flag was the official flag till 1961,before the adoption of the new flag on 1 st March 1961.
