Cocos Flag

The flag of Cocos (Keeling) Islands has a green background. To the top left of the flag is a palm tree on a golden ring. There is also a golden crescent in the middle of the ensign and the golden constellation to the right of the banner is similar to the ensign of Australia. Since it is a dependency of Australia, Cocos Islands also uses the flag of Australia.

Cocos (Keeling) Islands is an archipelago of twenty-seven coral islands on the Indian Ocean. These islands were discovered by Captain William Keeling in 1609. The archipelago was occupied by the United Kingdom in 1857 and was handed over to the Australian authorities in 1955.
