The
Australia Flag came into being on 1st January, 1901, the year
when Australian States were incorporated into Commonwealth of Australia. The Australian Flag has a blue background with the Union Jack at the top left. The Commonwealth Star, which is a white seven-pointed star, is placed at the lower end of the Union Jack.
