Biotechnology has also become an important area in the industrial sector with much stress being given in biomaterials, diagnostics, and industrial enzymes. Finland has very strong involvement in the ship building industry. Finland’s chemical industry was established during the era of the independence. There was the growth of Oil refining sector too.
