Finland Flag

The Finland Flag is the national symbol of the country. The flag of any nation is representative of the pride and glory of a country. A country is known by its flag. The same stands goods for the flag of Finland too. The flag is beautiful to look at and is simple in its structure and design. Not cluttered with many colors, the flag of Finland is made of two basic colors, blue and white. The country flag was officially accepted on 29th May, in the year 1918.

There are certain strict guidelines, which have to be followed while making a Finland Flag. The dimension of the flag is in a ratio of 11:18, indicative of the height and width of the flag. The base color of the flag of Finland is white, with an off-centered blue cross. Crosses are extensively seen on most of the flags of Scandinavian countries. Each color of the flag represents some special features of the country.

The white color in the national flag of Finland symbolizes the extensive snow that the country gets during the winters. Apart from this, the white summer nights are also represented by the white color in the Finland flag. The blue color is representative of the numerous lakes and waterfalls in the country along with the blue sky. So, the flag is actually a representation of the natural beauty of Finland.
