The Consulate of Finland is usually housed in a building that is separated from the surrounding urban structures. The Finland Consulate enjoys diplomatic immunity under international law. The laws of the host country are not applicable for diplomatic activities taken inside the consulate. The administrative structure of a specific Finland Consulate varies in accordance to its function. The head of the Consulate is represented by the Consul General. The different consular sections reporting to him are the Consular Section, Economic Section, Public Affairs Section and Administrative Section.
