Fiji TV was established in the year 1991 in the month of October. In 1991 an irregular license was granted by the
Fiji Government to the New Zealand Television for making an arrangement for the local rugby fans for watching the live reportage of the contest of Rugby World Cup.

After watching Rugby World Cup in the year 1991 Fiji TV was retrospect and reprinted in the year 2000 for a terminus of twelve years. During the year 1996 Fiji TV was enrolled as a public company which at present is termed as South Pacific Stock Exchange.
