Although the membership of the team of Ice Hockey in Estonia to the International Ice Hockey Federation expired in the year 1945, it has been renewed in 1990. There are both official as well as amateur Ice Hockey teams in Estonia.

The professional Estonian ice hockey team of Tallinn Purikad was founded in 2002, which are accorded with the colors of red and yellow. Another important team is that of Tartu Valk 494, who have played the Estonian League and have yellow as their color. The Tallinna HK Stars have won the Estonian Championship.
Another significant name in the teams of Ice Hockey at Estonia is the Kohtla-Jarve Viru Sputnik, who have participated in the Estonian League and have blue and yellow as their colors. The Narva PSK team has played the Estonian League and they have the colors of black, red and white as their official colors.
