Estonia Crime and Law

The Estonia Crime and Law is under the governance of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country. The Director General of Police Board in Estonia is appointed by the government of Estonia after consulting with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the country. There are seventeen administrative divisions in the police force of Estonia. These administrative divisions are however selected by the Minister of Internal Affairs, after the Director General of Police offers his suggestions. These divisions look after the Estonia Crime and Law.

There are various divisions under the Central Criminal Police force who takes care of the Estonia Crime and Law. These divisions are listed below:

Organized Crime Department, with the two following categories:
  • Criminal Association Division
  • Major Crime Division
  • Drug Enforcement Division
  • Information Division
  • Surveillance Department
  • Economic Crime Department, which has two departments under its observation:
    • Financial Crime Division
    • Property Crime Division
  • Quick Response Department or the SWAT
  • Interpol Estonian NCB
  • Operating Center
Estonia Law consists of a three layer court system. These three divisions under the Estonia Law and Order are the District and City courts, the Regional courts or the Appellate courts and the Supreme Court. The cases related to any issues in the Crime and Law of Estonia is handled by the state prosecutors who are provided by the government.
