The
Estonian Academy of Music came into being in 1919. This academy has been playing a very important part in the music of Estonia. Some of the maestros who have graduated from this Academy of Music in Estonia are Tonu Kaljuste, Arvo Part, Erkki-Sven Tuur and Eri Klas.

Estonian Academy of Music has got the following departments under it:

There is also a very well developed library at the Academy of Music of Estonia. It is open from Monday to Friday between 8:45 am to 7:00 pm. The Drama school of the Academy was renamed as Higher Theatre School in 1995. The Estonian Academy of Music offers three programs in music. They are the bachelor’s degree program (4years), master’s degree program (2 years) and the doctoral program (4 years).
Academy of Music at Estonia has got its own building at Tallinn. Students from other parts of the world also come to take admission in this Academy. This is one of the best academies of music in the world now.
