Zula is a beautiful small town in Eritrea. It is closely situated beside the head of Annesley Bay on the Red Sea's African coast. This Eritrean place of major interest is quite popular for providing the view of Adulis’ archaeological site that is basically the port of Axum and an emporium.
Zula, one of the major tourist destination of Eritrea, is situated offshore the central part of Eritrea in the shallow waters of Red Sea.
For a long time, numerous travelers across the globe have been visiting Zula, enhancing the popularity of the place. This Eritrean territory has a number of petroleum systems together with the numerous oil & gas, source rocks and condensate shows and discoveries. This city has also a remarkable history. A contract was signed, in 1857 by Dejaz Negusye (chief of Tigre) in order to surrender Zula to the French. Zula is also the place where the British expedition set down. There is a road in Zula that was constructed by the British to connect the city to Senafe on the plateau of Abyssinia. Finally in 1890 this town was incorporated into the Eritrean colony.
Now-a-days, with the passage of time the tourism business in Zula is also flourishing, and a certain amount of profit is being accumulating from this industry.
