Transport in Eritrea is in a number of ways. Though bus travel and car rentals are most comfortable, the railways are also recommended for long distance journeying throughout Eritrea. This apart, Eritrea can be approached from overseas countries by either air travel or even sea routes. Transportation in Eritrea was severely hampered during the long drawn war between Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Air Travel in/to Eritrea: Eritrea buses three international airports, one as Asmara, one at Massawa and the other at Assab. There are a number of airlines that en shoulder the responsibility of ferrying passengers from Eritrea to a few important cities such as the Milan, Frankfurt, Rome, Nairobi and Amsterdam.
Train Travel in Eritrea: The railways in Eritrea were revived after along lapse of some decades and became functional again in 2003. The railways in Eritrea, though developed by Italians between 1887 and 1928, were destroyed during the Ethiopia- Eritrea conflict. Though much development has happened till date, there are no fixed timetables.
Bus Travel in Eritrea: Taking the bus is by far the cheapest and most convenient way for long distance journeying throughout Eritrea. If it is ling distance journeying prior booking is a must for comfortable journeying. Like the railways, there is not any fixed time for starting off.
Car Rental in Eritrea: As the roadways in Eritrea are well developed, the car services in Eritrea are reliable as well as comfortable. The rates depend on the distance, the type car rented and the number of heads sharing the car.
Transport in Eritrea had been adversely affected during the times of conflict with Ethiopia but the government and the people are working hand in hand to haul up the situation.
