There are spectacular buildings and religious places such as churches and mosques built years ago and also modern futuristic buildings in the city. - Fiat Tagliero Building: The Fiat Tagliero building is a service station owned by the Royal Shell Oil Company, which was designed by Giuseppe Pettazi in the semblance of a airplane.
- The Adulis Ruins: The Adulis port was previously a very important trading port of the Aksumite region, which traded in precious materials such as ivory, tortoise shells and rhino horns. The black basaltic remains of the site are the proof of construction in the region.
