Fiat Tagliero, also known as the Fiat Tagliero building, is located in the capital city of Eritrea and is considered one of the category 1 buildings in Eritrea. This building was built some 75 years ago in 1938 and is still in excellent condition without much supplementary repair works being done. The Fiat Tagliaro building is presently owned by Royal Dutch Shell Oil Company. The Building had been the exclusive brainchild of the famous architect Giuseppe Pettazi and belongs to the Art Deco style.
The building has been specially designed in the semblance of an airplane and houses the office and workers desks. It is basically a service station where workshops are also held. This commercial building though not a real tourist destination of Eritrea attracts a good number of visitors because of the peculiarity of its construction. The Fiat Tagliero building is featured by two cantilever wings, which were initially supported by wooden structures. There had been much imbroglio over the removal of the supports at the time of opening of the Fiat Tagliero building.
The Fiat Tagliero building is easily accessible from all parts of the city. The transportation modes in Asmara city being reliable, concerned businessmen and tourists usually take either bus services or rent cars to approach the Fiat Tagliero service station.
