Asmara Theater and Opera House one of the major theater houses of Eritrea, which is located in the capital city, Asmara. The theater house has a spectacular construct and is reminiscent of Italian domination in Eritrea. The Italians arrived in the 80s of the nineteenth century and ruled till the British take over of Eritrea in 1939. The period of Italian rule had caused progress in the country and the decor of the Asmara Theater and Opera House recollects the same. Theaters are usually the hangout of the better off citizens in Eritrea. Of course tourists in Eritrea also take a keen not only because of the shows but also because of the majestic outlook of the theater house.
Transportation in Asmara is chiefly by the means of either buses or cars. While buses are cheap and frequent, there are no proper bus schedules. Cars are rented out by Fontana Rent a Car and the Africa Rent Car companies. Finding the way to Asmara Theater and Opera house is not a problem at all if you are planning to hire cars with chauffeurs because the Chauffeurs are well trained in the direction of roadways and tourist destinations in Asmara, Eritrea. Besides this there are some movie halls too in Asmara.
