Al Khulafa Al Rashiudin Mosque is located on the Peace Street in Asmara. This mosque in Eritrea was constructed in 1938. The Cathedral in Asmara is a famous church in Eritrea. The bell tower built in the Gothic style is very fascinating. The melodious sound of the bell can be heard from a distance. A magnificent view of the city can be viewed by climbing the tower. This tower is 52 meter high.
Nda Mariam Coptic Cathedral was erected to honor St. Mary. This cathedral is one of the landmarks in Asmara. The serene and calm ambiance of the cathedral can only be felt on entering the churchyard. Eritrea churches and mosques are reflective of the cultural unity of the people of the country.
