El Impossible National Park is regarded as one of the remaining tropical rain forests of El Salvador. In March, 1989 this park was established. The park serves as the source of eight rivers that supplies drinking water to the nearby communities. The park has a unique combination of different types of animals and plants.
Before this national park was created the El Salvador government issued a decree in order to protect the biological diverseness of this area.
